This is definetly the paddle for people who want that extra whip. With it being so light and long extended handle. I’m able to definitely “speed up” on opponents efficiently.

Absolutely loving this paddle right now. Considering a 2nd one just to have as back up cause I don’t want to play with any other paddle. Coming from the Ronbus Gen 1 Pulsar this paddle just does everything better. Pop and power perfect for my play style.

No tennis background needed

A lot of online reviews suggests this is best for tennis players turned pickle; while that may be true I love it just the same and I have no racquet sports background. The longer handle makes back hand twoeys effortless; the 14mm core and light weight give a distinct advantage in hand fights at the kitchen. This paddle has been exactly what I thought it would be and more; for the price it’s an incredible value compared to the premium priced paddles. Speedup all day!

Great paddle for tennis player in general.

Ordered Ice 16 couple of months ago and finally got it earlier this week. I tried it today and it has so much power and control. The only thing I don’t like it is dinking. Probably because of my dinking skills. As a former pro tennis player (ITF challenger and couple of ATP events), I will recommend this paddle to all level players. Great paddle, durable surface(I can wipe off ball mark by hand. Maybe I should hit harder to test it) and reasonable price. Highly recommended! Try it and you won’t regret!

Best deal on a high performance paddle

I’ve been playing with the Fire 14mm for a month now and have nothing but good things to say about it. Gives me all the spin, power, and control that I need. For more beginner players, I’d recommend the Ice 16mm. For 4.5+ players the Fire will do you right.

Great paddle, especially for the price!

This has been a great paddle so far! I was worried about the surface area initially but has not been an issue. Great balance of speed and control. Great paddle for a great price!

Effortless & Intuitive Out The Box

Current rotation - Run a Gearbox CX14E Ultimate Power for indoor, and Speedup Fire outdoor/default.

Speedup is ahead of the curve with the 6" handle, that coupled with the hybrid shape/14mm core it's a winning combo. I think we're converging on 6" handles, 14mm range core, and whatever face shape.

Fire is simultaneously more forgiving and precise in its blocking/dinking than a 16mm, which I wasn't expecting. First day playing everything felt so intuitive, like I had been playing with it for years. I'm not a power player, so was pleasantly surprised to see the soft game and control shots really take a big leap forward. Unexpectedly, blocks and resets improved markedly, and became more of a weapon vs a response.

I think if I had to sum it up, the Fire just gets you into the zone to execute your game and be fighting for every point. The weight balance in hand, the swing sensation and motion/mechanics with the 6" handle, all just make sense, you will just play better with it. - No lead needed, Blue Tourna overgrip is the only mod (stock handle a lil slim).

ICE Review from Canada

I haven't really noticed a difference between the ICE and FIRE. I purchased both. I need to play with both longer for a proper assessment. Haven't said that, I feel that both need lead tape at the throat and 9-3 positions. Read my review about the FIRE, I have the same opinions about the ICE. I love these paddles.

On another note, I'm from Canada and the team at Speedup have been great about any matters that I have concerning shipping here.

Great for dink & volley shot placement

First off, I placed lead tape midway at the throat up to the 9 & 3 o'clock positions. The FIRE was excellent to reach for short volley dinks. That extra 1" makes a huge difference. I don't have a tennis background but my slice volley counters was excellent. It feels like a short tennis racket. Because the face is new, my spins were excellent on the serve and on low drive FH & BH backspin 3rds. I also brought the ICE which I will try without lead tape.

Unique paddle that stands out from the rest

Big fan of this paddle. The shape is unique and the handle easily fits both my hands with room to spare. Hand speed is good for the handle length. For a 14mm thermoformed paddle it has a soft feeling face and exceptional control on resets dinks and drops. My paddle came in at 7.7 ounces and I added weight on the throat to bring it up to 8 ounces, although Im honestly not sure it’s necessary. The sweet spot was larger than expected but my favorite paddle before this was the pro xr zane navratil which has a tiny sweet spot and needs to be weighted up to at least 8.8 ounces to play well. The spin is exceptional and the power and pop are predictable. This will likely become the top paddle in my quiver and for the price it is absolutely unbeatable.
